Ominous
May 2018 // Oil // 30 x 40 in
Capturing the thick, ominous Bay Area clouds over the San Francisco skyline.
This was one of my earliest oil paintings and also happens to be the largest painting that I have ever done. I was challenged by upping my scale for everything and having to work much bigger. While it did make it easier to focus on the details, it was a LOT of work. I think this painting really taught me how to paint clouds in a way that has really stuck with me.
